FREWSBURG, New York — Lloyd Moore, one of the original competitors in what is now the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, died Sunday at age 95.
Moore won a race in what was then called Grand National at Winchester, Indiana, in the second season for the series, 1950. He drove a 1950 Mercury owned by Julian Buesink, who also fielded the cars driven by Bill Rexford, the 1950 Grand National champion.
