Approximately 150 classic cars and rods showed up on Front Street in Natchitoches, Louisiana for Return To The 50s Classic Car Show. Sources tell me overall it was a great show with a great assortment of classic vehicles that was open to years 1972 and earlier. Though there were some there that were obviously newer as you can see in the pictures.
The show buzzed with the sounds and looks of the 50s. Marlyn Monroe was alive and well and available for photo ops as well as other 50s characters. Cruisin’ Style Magazine was on hand to cover the event and more than likely you will see the coverage in the magazine about this time next year.
I really don’t know the history on this show and I think it is fairly new but sources told me there were only 9 awards given out which somewhat stunned a lot of the participants. A show this large only giving 9 awards means either they were not prepared for the number of cars or the hosts were new to the concept of a Classic Car Show.
If your into the competition of a Car Show this show may not be for you. If you simply like to cruise and meet other classic car and rod owners and enjoy seeing classic vehicles then go “Retro” and Return To The 50s next year.
