Catfish Festival Classic Car Show

fpcfAs the Car Show Season has kicked off so has the Spring Rain Showers.  I haven’t been to a car show yet this year because it seems every weekend has been a wash-out of sorts.  Hopefully that will change this weekend with the Franklin Parish Catfish Festival in Winnboro, LA.

I have been attending this car show since 2003 and it seems to have strayed from a small local show to a large Ada Boy show.  I was not happy with last years judging when the categories where done when judging was taking place.  The judges decided what class your car would be in on the fly, so to speak.  Well  basically “I GOT SCREWED” when my car was competing against two 1957 Chevys.  How does that happen?  A 1971 Camaro Z28 RS competing against a ’57 Chevy?!  There were plenty of cars there that I should have been competing against but I think I was being used as filler to complete a class.

I also noticed that one of the judges had 2 first gen Camaros there and  won 2 first places with both cars being in different classes.

Well I plan on going back this year to see if anything has changed.  Even though it was an Ada Boy show last year it is Free to enter and there is a great Festival taking place and is sure to be a fun time for the whole  family.

It will be also nice to get the Camaro out for a nice 45 minute ride there.  The Z has not been out since mid November.

I will post pics from the show when I can.
