Well another Cruising On The River is now in the books. I have to say the River City Bad Boyz pulled it off again.
Overall it was a great show with a lot of new cars and new faces. It was great to catch up with old friends that I usually only see once or maybe twice a year. I don’t have the exact number of cars but it was well over 170, up from last year.
The weather was great as it seemed the “Big Guy” cut us a break in between storms. The show started breezy and overcast but by mid Saturday it felt like the dog days of Summer. But that didn’t stop everyone from having a good time.
Cruising On The River ’09 is a great show to attend put on by great people. I know at times tensions were high as it seems the hosts get caught up with a lot of last minute problems but they always seems to pull through it.
My ’71 Camaro Z28 pulled a Top 100 and I would also like to mention my uncle, Paul Frederick won his first award in competition with his 1968 Ford Bronco. Paul actually received 2 awards. One being a Top 100 and the other being a pick in the Under Construction class. So Congrats to him!
I will be doing a complete review of the show soon so stay tuned to M3 for more on Cruising On The River ’09.
