Farrah Fawcett’s Foxy Vette

Most of the time I’m amazed at George Barris’ creations but others I just have to say “What the hell was he thinking?”.  I know most of Barris’ Celebrity Cars were created by wants and ideas of the celebrity like Farrah Fawcett’s 1970 Custom Corvette aka “Farrah’s Foxy Vette”.  This thing screams 70s from the Metal Flake green paint, side pipes and turbo fan mags.  Let’s not forget the interior with enough fur to throw a PETA member into a fit of rage.  The amenities are there too like the  black and white TV, a mobile Rotary Phone and a CB Radio.  Now we are talkin’!

The car was up on eBay in 2001 but I don’t know if it sold or where it currently is now.  Here is the eBay auction description:

1970   Chevrolet : Corvette

Vehicle Description

NO RESERVE!!!!!!!!!! “Farrah’s Foxy Vette” 350/300HP It’s a car for the stars! It’s just naturally from George Barris. This sleek Vette was given the sculptured body look by Barris Custom Industries. Custom designed and hand sewn interior including TV, Telephone (with a direct line to her house and studio), AM/FM stereo and cassette with CB. Redesigned and custom exterior body styling, custom paint with hand pinstriping and lettering. Custom chrome and painted wheels. original nylon tires are included. Recently spent appx. $2800 in maintenance including entire front end replacement, brakes, brake lines, new master cylinder, new battery, new BFG T/A radial tires, major tune up, all additional lines and reservoirs flushed and filled, radiator hoses replaced, thermostat replaced, all belts replaced and wheel bearings packed. It’s a cool car and wonderful powerful driver and I guarantee you will be noticed!

Vehicle Condition Exterior paint decent could use some touch up. Valve cover gasket needs replaced. Has AC yet is disconnected. The car was used for shows so most of the ammenities are disconnected (TV,CB,Stereo, telephone) I imagine most items still work. Ebrake needs new cable.

    • Hello,

I’m doing a history of the Corvette and my editor has asked me to find and include Farah Fawcett’s Corvette. Do you still have any contact with the owner? I’d be very grateful for any leads possible. Thanks, randy

  7. Hi
After the sad news of farrahs death, I have been searching the web about her as she was a great icon. I have noticed there is a lot of interest in her corvette. This is relivent to me as I have a corvette that appears to have been modeled off of hers. please send me an email address if you are interested in seeing some pictures………..

  8. Hi,

I noticed this vehicle in a garage. I stopped to ask about it since I’ve never seen a vette like that one before. The side of it said Farrah’s Foxy Vette. It’s in Port Isabel TX

  9. To amuse a Blonde for hours, give her a sheet of paper with ‘Please turn over’ scribbled on both sides.
