The People want to know…

I have had a few people wanting to know what kind of car I have and I realized that I have never really talked about my car here on the M3 site.

Well I actually own my dream car and it is a 1971 Camaro Z28 Rally Sport.  I grew up with the early second generation Camaros and Firebirds and always wanted one to restore and hotrod.

The car was a “Basket Case” when I got it.  It had no interior, no glass, motor barely ran and was painted by an amateur and had more dirt than paint on the car.  It’s been almost 5 years now and the car has been through a lot with a total engine rebuild, paint and new interior.  There are still some things it needs and will eventually get done but for right now I’m just enjoying it.  The car is really fun to drive.

I rebuilt the small block 350 and spiced it up a bit with .030 over bore with Dart II 210 Cast Race heads, Victor Jr. intake with a 750 cfm Edlebrock performer carb (soon to be replaced with two 500 cfm Competitions), MSD billet distributor, Blaster II coil, the MSD 6A box and Hooker Pro Comp Headers with shorty 18″ Glasspacks right off the headers with the exhaust turned out before the rear wheels with Wicked exhaust tips.  The transmission is a stock THM 350.

The Camaro is painted a 1971 factory color called Nevada Silver with Black Rally Stripes.  The look is complete with Classic Cragar SS wheels with Cooper Cobra rubber all around.  The car definitely turns heads everywhere it goes.
