Well I have been extremely busy training for my new position in Jackson, MS and just recently got home from Dallas, Texas (uh… training in Dallas for the position in Jackson) Friday night. Unfortunately there is not much to report in the areas of car shows because I haven’t been to any.
Dad on the other hand has already racked up a Sweet Sixteen (Top 16) out of over 140 cars from the Ole Brooke Cruisers show in Brookhaven, MS with the ’68 GTO and yesterday brought home a Mayor’s Choice from DeRidder, La that had over 190+ cars with the ’57 Thunderbird. So congrats to him!
I’m hoping to get the ’71 Camaro Z28 RS out soon and make a show or two but as of right now I’m concentrating on work so it looks like I may have to miss out on several shows.
I hope to get some pics up from the 2 shows mentioned. I got Dad a good high end camera for Christmas and he has been doing great grabbing digital pics for me so look for updates in Car Show Pics.
As for the ’71 Camaro Z28…I’m still at the mercy of Summit Racing. The Fuel Manifold I ordered for the Dual Quads has been on back order for the past 3 weeks. It should be in soon and I can get the Dual Quads on as well as my Holley Blue Label electric Fuel Pump and Regulator. It seems I have been talking about the Dual Quads for over a year now….wait it has been practically a year! Nothing ever goes smooth for me when Summit is involved.
Well anyway it looks as if things are looking up and that things will be quite busy around here for a while. I’m glad Spring is here!
